WDBA Public Meeting

December 5, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Community Benefits
A key project component is the inclusion of a Community Benefits Plan that will have a positive impact on communities in Windsor and Detroit and reflects what our stakeholders have told us is important to them.

For the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, the Community Benefits Plan will:

  • provide economic opportunities in the host communities
  • contribute positively to workforce development programs, thereby improving economic inclusion
  • deliver neighbourhood improvements
  • ensure clear commitments and accountability from all parties for its delivery.

The Community Benefits Plan to be delivered by WDBA’s private-sector partner, Bridging North America will be comprised of two components, the Workforce Development and Participation Strategy and the Neighbourhood Infrastructure Strategy. Learn more about these components, along with the approach and governance structure here:
